As corporate REACH & Substances manager, you will support the group in reducing its environmental impact by limiting the risk associated with chemicals. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with product regulatory requirements, setting up and managing all necessary tools, processes and network to ensure compliancy with EU legislation on substances, and up-grade, develop and deploy them to other countries and other substances legislation.

You will be the central point of contact for EU substances regulatory issues, managing a network of Substance experts in plants, to ensure process and tools are well applied locally, regularly provide trainings, and provide support when required

Responsibilities

Monitor and inform internal stakeholders on developments of substances regulation, in particular REACH Drive regulatory compliance Provide training to REACH coordinators and coordinate REACh network Manage procedure and tools, Monitor, interpret and conduct impact assessments on change on chemical regulations  Support advocacy strategy development, Represent Nexans in trade associations Develop safety data sheets Ensure registrations are submitted to authorities in a timely manner (SCIP)

Competencies

Engineer Diploma or Master degree in chemistry or polymeric materials Knowledge on product chemical regulation (e.g. EU REACh and RoHS) Minimum 2 years experience on substance legislation management or industry International profile – fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills Project management – transversal management and network working skills Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities for self and organization Team player, Rigorous, Organized, Initiative spirit, Results oriented and sense of urgency.
