Role Description The Assistant Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Paris Metropolitan Region. The Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, processing invoices, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role involves helping prepare monthly closing entries, participating in reconciliations of bank accounts and ledgers, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. The individual will assist in preparing basic financial reports, supporting budget monitoring, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards. The Assistant Accountant will collaborate closely with the finance team, respond to internal queries, and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Qualifications
- Strong foundational accounting skills, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and basic financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including working with spreadsheets, reconciliations, and data entry tools.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data, documentation, and financial records.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support monthly and annual closing activities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance colleagues and other internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Paris Metropolitan Region and function well in a structured, team-oriented environment.
- Relevant education in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g., BTS, DUT, or Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous internship or experience in an accounting or finance support role is an asset; familiarity with French accounting practices and tax requirements is a plus.
