About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our SDM (Supplier Data Manager) team, a critical component of the Akeneo Product Cloud. The SDM team owns the core data pipeline responsible for transforming diverse, large-scale supplier data into reliable, high-quality catalog information. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex data-processing pipelines that handle various formats, industry-specific nuances, and scale challenges. You will be involved in building and shipping end-to-end features, enhancing data validation, classification, extraction, and distribution modules, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our platform. Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
- Experience with full-stack development, including back-end data pipelines and front-end frameworks like React and TypeScript
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to debug and troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and customer-centric mindset
- Experience with AI tools and applying AI/ML techniques in data processing is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud services, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Design, develop, and deploy features across the SDM platform, including data processing back-end and front-end interfaces
- Enhance and maintain data pipelines that convert raw supplier data into trusted catalog information, ensuring accuracy and scalability
- Implement deterministic and non-deterministic data processing steps, leveraging AI/ML models where appropriate
- Own the quality, reliability, and performance of your code, including monitoring in production environments
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and collaborative problem-solving to foster continuous improvement
- Engage in customer discovery to understand user workflows and incorporate feedback into product development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Product Cloud to align on platform architecture and integration points
- Contribute to technical documentation and best practices to support team knowledge sharing
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customers
- Support the team in scaling data processing solutions to handle increasing data volume and complexity
