1. Role Overview


The Area Sales Manager EMEA is responsible for driving the brand’s commercial development and growth across the EMEA region.


He/She manages retailers and distributors, develops new markets, and ensures the implementation of the brand’s commercial and marketing strategy across selective distribution channels (retail, department stores, perfumeries, concept stores, and e-retailers).


Objectives:


• Accelerate the brand’s international presence

• Drive revenue growth and profitability within the region


2. Key Responsibilities


Business Development

•Define and implement the EMEA sales strategy in alignment with global objectives.

•Identify and develop new markets and partners across the region.

•Manage and grow the portfolio of existing distributors and key accounts.

•Negotiate commercial agreements and distribution terms.

•Achieve or exceed sales and growth targets.


Distributor Management

•Lead and support distributors in achieving their business objectives.

•Define annual business plans by market.

•Monitor sell-in / sell-out performance and stock levels.

•Train local teams including retail partners and beauty advisors.


Key Account Management

•Build strong relationships with premium retail partners.

•Ensure successful product launches and in-store activations.

•Monitor point-of-sale performance.


Market Analysis and Strategy

•Analyze competition and trends in the beauty and luxury markets.

•Identify growth opportunities (new channels, new markets).

•Provide reporting and sales forecasts to management.


Internal Coordination

•Work closely with internal teams including: marketing/ supply chain/ training/ communications

•Participate in international trade shows and beauty industry events.


Mobility

•Frequent travel across the EMEA region (30–50%).


3. Candidate Profile


Experience

•Minimum 5–8 years of experience in international sales, export, or area management.

•Experience in cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, or luxury strongly preferred.

•Strong understanding of international selective distribution networks.


Skills

•Strong business development capabilities.

•Excellent negotiation and distributor management skills.

•Strategic mindset with a results-driven approach.

•Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.


Languages

•Fluent French and English required.

•Additional European languages are a plus.
