Job Description – Solutions Architect (AWS / Java / Spring Boot)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to design, guide, and oversee the development of cloud-native microservices on AWS. The ideal candidate combines solid hands-on Java/Spring Boot expertise with a strong architectural vision and in-depth knowledge of identity management using OKTA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define the target architecture for applications based on a microservices approach on AWS.

• Drive technical decisions regarding service decomposition, API design, scalability, resilience, and security.

• Provide hands-on technical guidance to development teams on Java/Spring Boot best practices.

• Design and implement identity and access management solutions using OKTA (SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, user lifecycle management).

• Define standards for CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), observability, and cloud governance.

• Ensure architectural consistency, code quality, and adherence to best practices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders (developers, DevOps, security teams, product owners).

Required Technical Skills

• Java (proven expertise) and Spring Boot (microservices development).

• Design and deployment of microservices on AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECR, etc.).

• Proficiency in OKTA and authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).

• Solid understanding of distributed architectures (messaging, event-driven, REST APIs).

• Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Knowledge of cloud security principles and secrets management.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer).

• Experience with observability tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch). • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases on AWS (RDS, DynamoDB).

Desired Profile

• Significant experience in cloud solution architecture (ideally 5+ years).

• Ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on technical involvement.

• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.

• Autonomy, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
