A brand that wants to launch a product in a new country faces one question: which rules apply, and is the product ready for them? That's what we are answering at Cleo. Our multi-agent engine maps a company's product catalog against 25,000 regulations across 106 countries, monitored from 19,000 regulatory authorities to automates product compliance. The biggest brands use Cleo to sell anywhere and comply everywhere.
About the role
The Forward Deployed Engineer is the person who makes that real inside each customer. You arrive with our engine: a RAG over 25,000 regulations, orchestrated by our multi-agent system, MARIA. You leave with a production system the customer's team relies on every week. The job runs on three fronts, and the stakes are the same on all three:
- Feed the engine: Build and run the scrapers and ingestion pipelines that pull regulatory sources into Cleo's RAG, continuously
- Scale the mapping: Evolve the multi-agent system (MARIA) so each deployment maps more products, more markets, more rules
- Live with the customer: Own delivery from first prototype to stable production (TypeScript/Next.js, Supabase/Postgres, LLM orchestration)
You might thrive in this role if you
- Bring 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing work
- Have scoped and delivered complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments
- Have built or deployed systems powered by LLMs or agents and understand how model behaviour affects product experience
- Simplify complexity and make fast, sound decisions under pressure
- Bonus: exposure to regulated products and fluency in French and English
