Laudato Si’ Movement (LSM) is an international network of hundreds of Catholic organizations and thousands of grassroots leaders, all working together to care for our common home and advance climate and ecological justice. About The Position
The Programs Manager France coordinates the delivery of campaign strategies for LSM in France. Collaborating with, supporting, and growing partnerships throughout the country, the incumbent will provide vision, outstanding project management, and grassroots and grasstops organizing that strengthens and expands LSM’s highly successful campaign work. This staff member will build LSM's presence and help fulfill our mission of inspiring and mobilizing the Catholic community to care for our common home and achieve climate and ecological justice. This person will report to the Europe Director, work closely with the France Campaign Coordinator, and liaise with other programmatic teams as needed.

About The Position
The Programs Manager France coordinates the delivery of campaign strategies for LSM in France. Collaborating with, supporting, and growing partnerships throughout the country, the incumbent will provide vision, outstanding project management, and grassroots and grasstops organizing that strengthens and expands LSM’s highly successful campaign work. This staff member will build LSM's presence and help fulfill our mission of inspiring and mobilizing the Catholic community to care for our common home and achieve climate and ecological justice. This person will report to the Europe Director, work closely with the France Campaign Coordinator, and liaise with other programmatic teams as needed.
Areas of Responsibility
Movement building
- Lead movement building work and climate and ecological justice campaigning across France.
- Manage participants for LSMs mobilization programs, mostly Laudato Si’ Animators, but also Circles and member organizations and partners. Promote Laudato Si Action platform and coordinate with Eglise verte. Recruit participants for key global moments, such as the Season of Creation.
- Coordinate a significant LSM presence during the Pope’s visit in France, coordinating with Church authorities.
- Coordinate with the Communication officer on social media and online platforms to engage a base of supporters and parish leaders in France.
- Support the development of an outreach strategy to engage the Catholic community in France.
- Cultivate and nourish partnerships with key Catholic leaders, Catholic stakeholders, climate - faith organizations as well as communities impacted by fossil fuels and the climate crisis.
- Cultivate relationships with civil society organizations on climate and ecological justice.
- Build and maintain relationships with Catholic media.
- Represent LSM in public venues.
- Ensure relevant grant reports and documents are completed in a timely manner.
- Implement a plan for France, including the development of support infrastructure, to engage LSM members/partners to act towards the organization’s strategic goals of ecological conversion, sustainability, and advocacy.

- Understand LSM’s history, campaigns, and theory of change, and keep current with basic climate science, Church context, and climate policy and news in France.
- Contribute work towards LSM’s overall mission that is outside standard responsibilities and instead relies solely on geographic location or work capacity.
Candidates should:
- Demonstrate 2 to 4 years of experience in non-profit organizations, preferably faith-based and/or environmental.
- Demonstrate 1 to 3 years of experience in staff or volunteer management.
- Demonstrate familiarity with ecological issues at both the level of impact and the level of policy, including the nature of the fossil fuel industry.
- Experience working in a Catholic context and knowledge of French faith actors.
- Comfortable working in a prayerful faith-based environment.
