We are adding a Project Management Intern to our team to help us coordinate a new project for a partner that provides logistics and supply. This partner manages a large network of shipments and inventory, and they need better digital tools to keep their operations moving. You will be a full-time, remote member of our team, helping us turn their business needs into organized tasks for our developers and designers. This is a chance to see how functional software is built and delivered from the ground up.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We build the systems that help businesses run more efficiently. We do not focus on flashy apps or marketing sites. Instead, we build things like admin panels, CRM integrations, and database structures. Our clients usually come to us because they have outgrown their spreadsheets and need a real database or want their existing software tools to work together properly.
Our approach is simple and direct. We provide a fixed price for our work, we host weekly demos to show progress, and we provide complete documentation and code when we finish. We use stable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we value reliability over trends. We are a team of professionals who enjoy solving practical problems without the drama often found in the tech industry.
The Role
In this role, you will spend your time making sure our work for our logistics and supply partner moves forward as planned. You will help organize the feedback we get from the client and turn those notes into clear tasks for our development team. This is about more than just checking boxes. You will help maintain our project history, update our documentation, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks between our weekly demos.
On a typical day, you might help clean up a task list, record a video walkthrough of a new feature for the client, or track down the details needed for an API integration. You will also participate in our internal meetings where we discuss technical hurdles and how to solve them. This position is fully remote, meaning you will use tools like GitHub and messaging to keep everyone updated on project status and upcoming deadlines.
What you bring
You do not need to be a software developer to thrive in this role, but you should be very organized and comfortable with technology. We are looking for someone who can write clearly and explain complex ideas in simple terms. Since we stay away from corporate jargon, your ability to be direct and honest in your communication is more important than knowing industry buzzwords.
You should be someone who feels satisfied when a project stays on track and documentation is accurate. Reliability is key in a remote setting, so we need someone who is good at managing their own time and keeping their promises. Curiosity is essential. You should be interested in learning how a logistics company works and how software can make their daily tasks easier. You are comfortable working on projects that are practical and helpful rather than trendy.
Helpful background
This is an internship, so we do not expect you to have several years of experience. However, some basic knowledge will help you get started. Being familiar with how GitHub works for tracking tasks and issues is very helpful. If you have a basic understanding of what APIs do or how a database like Postgres functions, you will be able to follow progress much more easily. Knowing the difference between frontend technologies like React and backend tools like Node is also a plus. Any previous experience in an administrative role or a project-based school assignment will prepare you well for the organizational demands of this position. This is a paid internship, and the pay is competitive for the role and the current market.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here means you will be part of a small, focused team. There are no layers of management or complex hierarchies to navigate. You will work directly with our senior developers and see how decisions are made. Our remote culture is built on trust and clear results. We do not believe in long meetings that go nowhere. Instead, we have quick, purposeful check-ins so everyone can get back to their work.
Because we work with partners in industries like logistics and supply, the tools we build have a direct impact on how people do their jobs. You will help create systems that replace manual data entry and messy spreadsheets with clean, reliable code. We take pride in building software that stays stable long after we hand it over to the client.
At Pixel Systems, we prefer a calm work environment where people can focus on doing their best work. We avoid the typical startup stress by be
