Fisher Investments Luxembourg (FIL) Senior Accountants are important and valued members of the Corporate Accounting team. The FIL Senior Accountant is responsible for solving highly analytical problems to assist FIL reporting and will keep Fisher's corporate group accounting records updated and in accordance with accounting standards. You will help maintain the integrity of accounting ledgers, which provide important information for senior leadership and for producing the firm's financial statements, tax returns and regulatory filings and ensure timely responses to internal and external questions and lead responses to financial auditors and regulators. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will meaningfully contribute to the finance group's financial regulatory filings and annual audits, being the main contact for auditors. The Day-to-Day: Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities Responsible for overseeing and preparation financial regulatory filings Act as the main point of contact for ad-hoc financial regulatory requests Conduct research on applicable regulatory standards Prepare schedules for quarterly reviews, semi-annual reports and annual audits Create and analyze corporate financial statements Serve as a liaison between the firm and outside CPA firms Automate and improve existing processes and methodologies Work with the Finance team to implement a broad range of projects to support the firm's long-term strategic goals Coordinate efforts with other applicable groups across the Fisher group of companies (the “Fisher Group ”) (e.g. finance, legal and compliance and internal audit) Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Accounting qualification (CPA/CA) preferred Experience with European/UK regulatory bodies preferred 5+ years progressive accounting experience Be autonomous, work with others, and exercise judgement Outside-the-box thinking and offer solutions Effective at navigating ambivalence and change Pro-active approach to troubleshooting and ability to seek appropriate assistance rapidly Proficient with MS Excel/Word Ability to enforce policies/procedures Understanding of the regulatory framework in which FIL operates Why Fisher Investments Luxembourg: The global Fisher organisation distinguishes itself by putting clients first, providing unmatched service, and taking a personalised approach to investing.
