Role Description:
For our client, operating in the insurance sector in several countries in Europe, we are recruiting an experienced Head of IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity to join an international working environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all activities and driving further development of the Workspace, Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity in each operating business and ensuring that customers and employees can work safely, without interruptions, and with modern equipment and systems.
The Head of Infrastructure & Cybersecurity will report to the group CEO and coordinate all the teams supporting the IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity in each location.
For this role, you will join the client directly.
Areas of Responsibilities:
1. Result areas and activities:
Further develops the IT environment of the group.
Ensures the availability of the IT environmentin accordance with service levels.
Ensures that all system-related information security is in accordance with laws, regulations and ISO27001 Framework.
Brings changes into production in a controlled manner (release management).
Product accountable: Ultimately responsible for all products in the work area. The local team managers are primarily responsible for this, but the final responsibility rests in this role, including the vision and long-term strategy for these products. Consider:
Meeting applications (Teams’ rooms, equipment)
Workplace security
Private cloud, public cloud, and managed service
Network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, on location and across the country)
IT Infrastructure (DNS, certificates, firewalling)
IT Security: advising management, further development of the organization in the field of security (roadmap and delivery)
IT Security audits (e.g., ISO27001)
2. Manage Run & control the chain
Manages Run in the field of Infrastructure and cybersecurity. Is responsible for the management (chain management) of external partners.
Is responsible for the satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.
Fulfils an essential role as a chain partner in the value flow to the business.
Is responsible for the KPIs and reporting within the department.
Is responsible for all processes within the department, including improvement.
Translates the company’s policy into department policy with attention to the correct relationship between costs, service levels, and quality when delivering products and services.
Leads the implementation of strategic objectives within his/her own area of responsibility.
Formulates an annual plan and budget for the area of responsibility.
Is responsible for the satisfaction of employees and guides and coaches them in the performance of their work and their personal development.
As a connecting leader, he can bring all needs, desires, and motivations to the table.
Supervises both managers and specialists.
Switches flexibly in leadership and management style, always with an eye for the relationship.
Draws up an annual plan with the various departments.
Checks agreed with quality levels and takes measures in the context of risk management within the processes of the department.
Good ability to identify the interests of staff, internal customers, suppliers, and ultimately responsible parties within the entire IT organization.
Managing expectations of staff, internal customers, suppliers, and those ultimately responsible within the entire IT organization.
Coordination with all management team members.
Qualifications:
- Higher education working and thinking level.
- A completed education in IT / Business Administration / Administrative IT.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial position within the IT domain in the field of Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. Preferably experience with cloud transition projects.
- Proven track record with managing on-premises, hosting, and cloud platform products in a high-availability business environment.
- Aware of the latest developments and trends in the field of modern platforms & infrastructures and cybersecurity.
- Good command of French and English is a requirement. Another language would be welcome.
- Ability to work in an international structure.
- Experience with reporting and advice to management, for example through participation in steering groups with the participation of management.
- Preferably knowledge and experience with software development processes, such as Scrum and Safe.
- Demonstrable knowledge of information systems management, preferably ITIL certified.
- Demonstrable knowledge of workplace concepts, mainly focusing on Microsoft365, preferably some experience as a functional manager or Product Owner of Microsoft365.
- Demonstrable knowledge of IT Infrastructure, preferably some experience as an administrator.
- Demonstrable knowledge of AWS, preferably certified.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Information Security / Cybersecurity, preferably CISM certified.
- Demonstrable experience in ISO27001 including participation in audits.
