Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist - Clinical Trials SaaS (Paris, remote)
Our client, an innovator in Clinical Trials SaaS, is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to fortify their team. This role is critical for ensuring the highest level of security for a platform that plays a vital role in advancing healthcare research.
In this position, you will be the vanguard of the company’s cybersecurity defences, protecting sensitive clinical trial data from emerging threats and ensuring compliance with the latest healthcare industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage security measures to protect systems, networks, and data associated with clinical trials software.
- Regularly assess the IT infrastructure for vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies to combat potential cyber threats.
- Lead incident response initiatives, including forensic analysis and mitigating attacks in real-time.
- Design and conduct regular security audits to ensure that all systems are compliant with industry and legal standards, such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Collaborate with the development team to advocate for security best practices throughout the software development life cycle.
- Educate and train staff on cybersecurity awareness and security protocols.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity technologies and practices, as well as potential threats specific to the clinical trials and healthcare sectors.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cybersecurity specialist, with a deep understanding of security protocols, IT systems, and network infrastructure.
- Expert knowledge of public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software-based encryption systems.
- Experience in conducting security assessments and audits, including penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
- Familiarity with cloud security architecture and solutions, especially in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Proficient in the use of cybersecurity tools and software, such as firewalls, antivirus software, patch management systems, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations relevant to clinical trials and healthcare data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
