Role
Under the broad direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Representative performs CS functions for customers. World Courier offers an exciting and dynamic work environment with plenty of opportunities for development. Initial training is also provided.
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Accepts jobs by telephone / email / internet
- Edits and maintains jobs (Exports/Imports) in TMS.
- Selects appropriate transport packaging according to nature of goods and clients needs in temperature control.
- Calculates transit-times, Selects routings by deciding on a single or combination of transportation-types (airplane, car, train, Aerolink).
- Monitors shipments during the transport and reacts flexibly to any deviation from the plan.
- Informing clients of delays and irregularities
- Preparation of transport documentation
- Communication with national and international branches of World Courier/ Aerolink/ domestic agents.
Skills, Knowledge and Required Abilities
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Work independently and flexibly.
- Collaboration et bonnes relations sociales. (Sens du travail en équipe)
- Prioritization + Adaptability
- Master French and have a good level of written and oral English
- Experience in logistics (freight forwarder, other courier company, airline, handling agent, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and other computer programs.
Conditions
- Permanent contract
- Salary: Depending on profile and experience, over 13 months
- Annual bonus, restaurant vouchers, mutual insurance
- Hourly range from Monday to Friday with rotation on different slots between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Rotating Saturday and public holiday work with compensation (bonus/rest)
- Rotating night-week on-call duty
