As we consolidate a unique, cohesive product suite post the merger of Contentsquare with Hotjar and Heap, we are restructuring our Engineering & Product teams to tackle new challenges effectively. Within the Core Technologies group, the Data Infrastructure team plays a pivotal role, managing the processing and storage of our customers' data.

As the Senior Director, Head of Data Infrastructure, you will oversee a team of 25 comprising Data Engineers and DevOps professionals across various locations. Reporting directly to the SVP of Core Technologies, you will play a key role in steering our data infrastructure strategy.

This role offers the flexibility of being office-based in Paris or Barcelona, or working full-remote from France, Spain, or Germany.

Responsibilities
  • Vision & Roadmap:
  • Shape and implement a strong technical vision aligned with our business objectives and product strategy.
  • Define a comprehensive long-term strategy for our key data technologies and foster innovation within the team.
  • Lead tech watch initiatives and evaluate new technologies to enhance our capabilities.
  • Challenge and improve critical technical decisions to ensure scalability, cost-efficiency, and adaptability.
  • Management & Organization:
  • Optimize team structures and processes in light of ongoing mergers and industry transitions.
  • Support managers in setting and achieving goals based on the technical vision and organizational objectives.
  • Align resource allocation and staffing plans to meet current and future needs.
  • Production & Operations:
  • Maintain smooth operations of data pipelines and database components under your purview.
  • Collaborate with Platform & Security teams to enhance system reliability and resilience.
  • Manage operational costs effectively to ensure efficiency.
  • Communication:
  • Regularly update top management on team progress, goals, and milestones.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and engage with Product & Business teams to stay ahead of future requirements.
  • Communicate openly within and outside Contentsquare about technical challenges, achievements, and ambitions.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience managing software and data engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large, complex projects and teams of 20+ individuals.
  • Proven expertise in data architectures and thriving in high-paced environments.
  • Strong program management and interpersonal skills, including effective communication with C-level executives.
  • Broad technical acumen and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies.
