Scope of the services

The Process Engineer will be responsible for the preparation and planning of PC&C activities for the FEED LNG project, in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards, budget, project schedule, and local regulations.

Reporting to the Commissioning Lead Engineer, the main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring quality execution of preparation work, respecting PC&C schedule, budget, and contract during FEED (Prior EPC) in Courbevoie.
  • Reporting technical findings or potential safety issues.
  • Coordinating with various engineering disciplines to ensure PC&C requirements are incorporated into detailed design.
  • Writing and updating Precommissioning and Commissioning Strategy, procedures, method statements, and technical studies.
  • Elaborating Precommissioning and Commissioning sequences to align project requirements and constraints.
  • Developing Completion & Handover strategy and defining scope by Construction Work Areas and preliminary systemization.
  • Preparing Technical studies for Key PC&C activities such as Steam blowing, Cooling water commissioning, Refractory dry out, Fuel gas in, chemical cleaning, etc.
  • Preparing/Reviewing Scope of work for Precommissioning and Commissioning Subcontractors and reviewing offers.
  • Liaising with company representatives, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient communication between project teams.
  • Highlighting potential work process improvements or lessons learned to enhance work quality.

Tasks
  • Reviewing and commenting on PFDs, P&IDs, and discipline drawings to provide commissioning and start-up inputs and technical requirements.
  • Defining Preliminary Systems List to support schedule preparation.
  • Developing commissioning sequence and working with the planning team to build detailed level 1 and 2 PC&C schedules.
  • Supporting the subcontracting team in defining site subcontracted activities, Scope of work, Roles, and responsibilities.
  • Developing method statements and project procedures associated with commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Participating in supplier clarification and bidding process to ensure commissioning and start-up requirements are considered in design.
  • Coordinating with different disciplines in project execution and participating in key multidisciplinary reviews.
  • Preparing Precommissioning/Commissioning Specifications and Procedures in line with contractual requirements and project standards.
  • Developing lists of vendors, spare parts, tools, consumables, and temporary equipment to support estimation of PC&C costs.
  • Reviewing engineering technical specifications and supplier documents.
  • Providing inputs to technical workshops and weekly/monthly progress reports of PC&C activities.

Requirements
  • Engineer with a Master's Degree
  • Expertise in Pre-commissioning and commissioning with a Process Engineering Background (Min 3 years)
  • Knowledge of MS Office, PDF or Bluebeam, 3D model tools, and optionally Completion tools (Icaps, Easyplant) and/or Process simulations tools (Hysys, Flarenet)
  • Practical-minded with excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas Industry in a similar position
  • Preliminary site experience and understanding of site activity risks and opportunities

Position in Paris area and spot visit in in Qatar may be considered (2 weeks max)
