As a member of Google's Data Center Sustainability Team, you'll be part of a diverse, global organization, combining creativity and knowledge with the organizational skills and data-driven analysis to manage the various strategies, resources, and programs that enable Google's Data Center sustainability roadmap and drive sustainability transformation across the digital infrastructure sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing policy advocacy partnerships and initiatives to accelerate sustainability at-scale across the digital infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a comprehensive and strategic assessment of the data center regulatory environment impacting Google's data center portfolio and sustainability roadmap, define risk, and quantify long-term/mid-term cost impacts and resolution pathways.
  • Advocate for global data center sustainability policy tracking, change management, and assurance function across all regions.
  • Define regulatory advocacy priorities with regulators, other data center developers/operators, and coalitions that are critical to Google's sustainability roadmap and data center capacity needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Government Affairs & Public Policy, Legal and data center development teams including design, construction, environmental health & safety, operations, site acquisition, and energy teams to enable and empower successful delivery of Google's sustainability and data center capacity mission.
  • Define key metrics and develop and manage tracking and reporting strategy to internal partners teams and leadership.
