Plant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager for an on-site role based in Paris, France.
You will oversee our metal manufacturing operations for automotive components. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations for automotive metal components, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control, to meet production targets and customer requirements.
- Lead and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, technicians, and production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance, morale, and engagement.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, supply chain, and quality assurance, to drive operational excellence, resolve issues, and achieve business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost, analyzing trends and variances to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective actions.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, capital expenditure plans, and cost control initiatives to optimize resource utilization and achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices in the workplace.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on plant performance, including production metrics, financial results, and operational challenges, for senior management and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management roles within the automotive industry, with a focus on metal manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including stamping, welding, machining, and assembly.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and manufacturing software applications.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven solutions and performance improvement.
