The Planet Group have recently been engaged by one of the world’s largest financial consulting firms who are seeking a Workday Financial Consultant to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Centre Build & Configuration: Lead the build and configuration efforts within the Workday Accounting Centre (WAC), ensuring systems are tailored to meet business needs.
- Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits to ensure the integrity and compliance of financial systems, addressing any vulnerabilities proactively.
- Integration and Release Management: Oversee the integration of WAC with other systems, manage release cycles, and ensure smooth transitions during updates.
- Configuration and Optimisation: Handle configuration tasks and system optimizations, including comprehensive testing and error resolution to enhance system performance.
- Requirements Gathering and Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and implement changes within WAC as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain documentation for WAC workflows and processes, contributing to a robust knowledge database.
- Reporting and Dashboard Management: Create and maintain reports and dashboards in WAC and Workday Financials, providing valuable insights to the business.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of WAC and Workday Financials operations.
- Administrative Support: Perform essential administrative tasks, including period management, security assignments, opening bank accounts, creating ledger accounts, and establishing cost centers within Workday Financials.
- Workflow Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of documentation and support for workflow changes within WAC and Workday Financials.
Candidate Profile:
- Expertise in Workday Financials: Proven experience in configuring and managing Workday Financials and the Workday Accounting Centre, with a deep understanding of related processes.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into effective system configurations and optimizations.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous in testing, error handling, and documentation to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
