About the role

  • Our Government affairs team, composed of 30 people, is integrated in the Corporate HR department.
  • As a Director Funding Excellence, you will work on identifying and accessing government funding opportunities. You will get the opportunity to contribute to propelling key transformation projects at Solvay around the world and supporting our sustainability ambitions.
  • You will be accountable for:
  • Leading the strategic fundraising development
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of fundraising activities and financial reports
  • Maximizing the return of funding opportunities
  • Building capabilities and enhancing compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal fundraising regulations and ethical standards
  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in economics, finance, political science or legal.
  • Relevant work experience in acquiring funding for energy transition and environmental projects of at least EUR/USD 5 millions
  • Competencies:
  • Deep knowledge of national, regional and institutional funding programs
  • Experience in managing a large portfolio of opportunities and projects and ensuring successful delivery within tight deadlines
  • Understanding of the political environment influencing funding and support for industrial companies
  • Behaviors:
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills in multinational context
  • Decision-making, problem solving approach

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Belgium) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 119,000 euros to 148,000 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
