This position is base in Dublin with international business trips.
My client is an Irish-based production entity within an international group of companies, with offices in London, New York, Geneva, and Singapore. Their expertise lies in designing, developing, and producing high-end personal luxury goods, including perfumes, cosmetics, and skincare products.
Your Role :
You will manage the packaging development and production activities for an ambitious ultra-luxury cosmetics project. The products will be exclusively marketed in New York, London, and Singapore.
Responsibilities :
- Packaging Development: Oversee the entire process from design to final product for various packaging types (aerosols, tubes, jars, bottles, droppers, pumps, etc.).
- Technical Documentation: Utilize technical and industrial drawings, and 3D designs effectively.
- Manufacturer Relations: Identify and liaise with manufacturers, review and negotiate contracts, prices, and MOQs.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle invoices, purchase orders, acceptance acts, NDAs, and production agreements.
- Prototyping: Order and assess samples and prototypes, including shades, texture sampling, and applied décor (transcript, engraving, hot stamping, digital printing, etc.).
- Artwork Preparation: Create and prepare artworks for packaging design.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to select and assign manufacturers.
- Communication: Maintain constant communication with manufacturers, holding meetings to discuss production processes.
- Production Planning: Plan production for each packaging type.
- Quality Control: Set high-quality standards and perform quality checks.
Required Experience :
- 5+ years in high-end cosmetic and perfumery packaging
- Experience with various materials: Plastic, Elastomers, Metal, Glass, Paper, Porcelain, Ceramic, Leather, Crystal, Fabric
- Deep knowledge of factories in Europe, Asia, and the USA
- Proficient in manufacturing technologies, decoration techniques, and luxury craftsmanship
- Expertise in aerosol cosmetic technology
- Understanding of international ecological standards and materials recyclability
- Strong network with manufacturers
Languages
French, English (required)
Italian, Spanish, German, Chinese (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
- CorelDRAW, Rhino (3D design)
