This role calls for a deep understanding of cancer biology, translational research, and preclinical drug development. The leadership and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional efforts. The ideal candidate is a collaborative scientific leader who can effectively bridge discovery and development to advance innovative oncology therapies.

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead small molecule oncology discovery programs, from target validation through preclinical candidate (PCC) nomination.
- Manage and coordinate preclinical studies in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (medicinal chemistry, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, DMPK, translational sciences, biomarkers, clinical pharmacology) to drive data-based decisions and align strategy with development goals.
- Contribute to scientific strategy and evaluate in-licensing opportunities to strengthen our pipeline.
- Mentor and inspire junior scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Profile:

- PhD in Cancer Biology, Cell or Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in oncology small molecule drug discovery (biotech/pharma).
- Proven track record of leading programs from target validation to PCC nomination.
- Strong expertise in tumor biology, oncogenic signaling, and translational research.
- Excellent communication, leadership, cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in English required; French is a plus.
