To further increase the capacities of our technology platform, we are working on scaling up and down our encapsulator technology. The goal is to extend our capabilities to support R&D, clinical and commercial scale capsule production for our internal and partner’s therapeutical programs.
As part of the Platform and Technology Project Management department and as a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate the research and development of new encapsulators to ensure projects’ progress, reporting directly to the Head of Platform and Technology development.
The first and most prominent project on which you will be focused will be the development of a scale-up of our current largest GMP encapsulator released in 2022.
This project has an ambitious goal and is at an early stage of development, involving lots of R&D activities. It requires a strong leader to coordinate the research and development contributors' activities while ensuring alignment with the company strategy and future user’s needs.
Missions :
You will be responsible for managing the development of a new encapsulator enabling large-scale production of encapsulated cells for cell therapy programs.
-Have a strong project management and monitoring skills to:
- Develop successful working relationships with all stakeholders of the project : partner, executive management, project teams and experts
- Collect input from all stakeholders of the project (internal and external)
- Define project/subproject goals and update them along the progression.
- Proactively identify, assess project risks and issues and propose and deploy mitigation strategies with the relevant teams and management levels.
- Ensure excellent team communication and foster team enthusiasm.
-Manage and coordinate the activities and deliverables of all technical contributors. This will include the Physics/Technologic and Biology research teams as well as Technical Operations and process development departments. The activities of those teams will include:
- R&D in physics and technology to improve encapsulation flow rate and capsule quality. This will involve collaborations with academic partners.
- Designing and testing several technical solutions compatible with GMP single-use constraints.
- Designing benchtops and prototypes
- Subcontracting testbench and prototype manufacturing
- Testing prototypes.
-Be accountable for project progress assesment :
- Report project progress and ensure good communication of these reports.
- Develop contingency planning and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery of project goals
- Monitor and coordinate budget (Opex, Capex) and resource projections
-Establish and adjust processes, workflow, meeting, and reporting routines to ensure continuity and efficiency of the project execution and alignment with company strategy :
- Agile project management methodology will be expected for the initial phases of the project before shifting to a GAMP5 approach for GMP prototypes.
- Prepare, coordinate, and present project material to different levels of Treefrog’s organization as well as external stakeholders (partners, invesotrs, auditors).
- Identify and document lessons learned from project, and challenges to promote development of best practices
Profil :
You have between 5 and 10 years of experience in R&D or engineering, that include years in a project management position, in the LifeScience or Microfluidics industry.
A track record in technology development (as a contributor, team leader, project or product manager) in the realization of success delivering complex/ high priority projects is essential.
A track record of management with Agile methodology is a plus. You are fluent in English
You are proficient in project management and have great communication and good relationship skills that will enable you to easily interact with a large team of engineers and scientists.
We are seeking a candidate with good knowledge in the field of bioprocess or microfluidics, motivated by the emerging field of cell therapies, and eager to contribute to their expansion through the development of new tools supporting their administration to patients.

Afin d'augmenter les capacités de notre plateforme technologique, nous travaillons sur la mise à l'échelle de notre technologie d'encapsulation. L'objectif est d'accroitre nos capacités de production de capsules sur les périmètres R&D, clinique et commerciale pour nos programmes thérapeutiques internes et ceux de nos partenaires.
Vous intégrez le département « Plateforme technologique et Gestion des projets » en tant que Manager de Projet. Vous coordonnerez la recherche et le développement de nouveaux encapsulateurs afin d'assurer l'avancement des projets, sous la responsabilité directe du Responsable développement de la plate-forme et de la technologie.
Le projet principal sur lequel vous vous concentrerez sera le développement d'une mise à l'échelle de notre plus grand encapsulateur GMP actuel, lancé en 2022.
Missions :
Vous serez responsable de la gestion du développement d'un nouvel encapsulateur permettant la production à grande échelle de cellules encapsulées pour les programmes de thérapie cellulaire.
-Avoir de solides compétences en matière de management et suivi de projet afin de :
- Développer des relations de travail fructueuses avec toutes les parties prenantes du projet : partenaire, direction générale, équipes de projet et experts.
- Recueillir des informations auprès de toutes les parties prenantes du projet (internes et externes)
- Définir les objectifs du projet/sous-projet et les mettre à jour tout au long des avancées.
- Identifier et évaluer de manière proactive les risques et les problèmes liés au projet, proposer et déployer des stratégies de résolution avec les équipes concernées.
- Assurer une excellente communication au sein de l'équipe, nourrir et favoriser son enthousiasme.
-Gérer et coordonner les activités et les livrables de l’ensemble des contributeurs techniques. Cela comprendra les équipes Physique/Technologie et Biologie du département Recherche et du département Opérations :
- Améliorer le débit d'encapsulation et la qualité des capsules en partenariat avec les équipes physique et technologie en R&D. Cela impliquera des collaborations avec des partenaires universitaires.
- Concevoir et tester plusieurs solutions techniques compatibles avec les contraintes de l'usage unique GMP.
- Concevoir des bancs d'essai et des prototypes
- Gérer la sous-traitance de la fabrication des bancs d'essai et des prototypes
- Tester les prototypes.
-Être responsable de l'évaluation de l'avancement du projet :
- Rendre compte de l'avancement du projet et assurer une bonne communication de ces reportings.
- Élaborer des plans d'urgence et des stratégies d'atténuation des risques afin de garantir l’atteinte des objectifs du projet.
- Contrôler et coordonner le budget (Opex, Capex) et les projections de ressources.
-Établir et ajuster les processus, les réunions et les reporting pour assurer la continuité et l'efficacité de l'exécution du projet ainsi que l'adéquation avec la stratégie de l'entreprise :
- La méthodologie de gestion de projet Agile sera attendue pour les phases initiales du projet avant de passer à une approche GAMP5 pour les prototypes GMP.

Profil
Vous avez entre 5 et 10 ans d'expérience en R&D ou en ingénierie, dont plusieurs années à un poste de gestion de projet, dans le secteur des sciences de la vie ou de la micro fluidique.
Une expérience en développement technologique (en tant que collaborateur, chef d'équipe, chef de projet ou de produit), dans la réalisation de projets complexes et stratégiques est indispensable.
Une expérience en gestion de projet Agile est un atout. Vous maitrisez l’anglais.
Vous avez d'excellentes compétences en matière de gestion de projet, de communication et de relations interpersonnelles qui vous permettront d'interagir facilement avec une grande équipe d'ingénieurs et de scientifiques.
