SUMMARY OF POSITION


Reporting to the Director of Procurement, we are looking for a Category Manager, to develop implement and follow sourcing strategies for multiple direct and indirect purchasing categories within the Curium PET Europe Strategic Unit. Your role will be aiming to:

  • Optimize total Cost of Ownership.
  • Reduce risks and supplier dependency.
  • Increase (supplier) value and quality.
  • Identify and lead Multicounty Procurement initiatives.
  • Optimize PET Europe Operations and synergies across other Curium SU.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Procurement Strategy and Planning

  • Formulate procurement strategy and plans in collaboration with key stakeholders from all departments (Operations, Quality, CMC…) for designated categories within the PET Europe strategic unit.
  • Develop and actively manage procurement categories through RFP, consumption management, and make-or-buy proposals.
  • Manage multi-country Tenders


2. Supplier Portfolio Management

  • Manage the supplier portfolio and optimize the supplier panel
  • Identify market opportunities, market knowledge and expertise, and key market drivers
  • Negotiate sales conditions and European contractual agreements


3. Strategic Project Lead

  • Lead strategic projects with local and/or global teams, including initiatives such as cost-saving projects, multiple sourcing, business continuity planning, and construction support.
  • Conduct multi-country tenders, negotiate sales conditions, and establish European contractual agreements.
  • Monitor category and performance through KPIs
  • Contribute to the improvement of procurement and procurement process


REQUIREMENTS


Education and Experience(s)

  • Commercial or technical degree ideally completed with a master’s degree in Procurement.
  • 5 years' experience minimum in procurement


Required skills / hard skills

  • Fluent English is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint..), Power BI


Preferred skills / Soft skills

  • You have a curiosity, sensitivity and ideally experience within the industrial world.
  • Excellent communicator with leadership potential - Strategic vision and cross-cultural adjustment
  • Able to set priorities, to take some distance, and be pragmatic.
  • Natural connector, capabilities to gain credibility and create an efficient network within PET Europe entities and suppliers.
  • Autonomous, Positive, open to feedback.


And it would be a plus if you also possess:


  • Experience in procurement role within FMCG, Pharma, another industrial environment
  • Experience in both direct and indirect materials
  • Project management experience and/or qualification (PMI certified, green belt…)
  • Second European Language appreciated, French is a plus
