OUR STORY:
Join Scaleway and shape the sovereign cloud of tomorrow
Since 1999, we have been designing secure, sustainable infrastructures aimed at supporting the most ambitious companies.
Historically known for our dedicated servers (Dedibox), we made a strategic shift to cloud computing in 2015. Staying true to our principles of simplicity, flexibility, and technical excellence, we have become one of the leading players in Europe in the sector.
With the rise of artificial intelligence, we have strengthened our commitment, supported by the Iliad Group, which is investing €3 billion to develop a serious, sovereign AI alternative to American and Asian giants.
Every day, thanks to our fast-growing portfolio of cloud and AI products (bare metal, containerization, serverless, AI, etc.), Scaleway proudly serves thousands of customer across the private and public sector, from corporations like France Télévisions or Hachette Livre, to fast-growing startups like Photoroom and Biolevate, to institutions like the City of Copenhagen.
Our offices are located in Paris, Lille, Toulouse, Rennes, Rouen, Bordeaux and Lyon.
WHY WE NEED YOU?
Driven by our continuous growth and expanding high-density infrastructure, we are looking for a Datacenter IT Manager responsible for leading on-site IT operational support and field services across Scaleway datacenters.
Your core mission will be to manage the Team Leaders and the Datacenter IT Technicians across our datacenter clusters (Paris North and South regions) and oversee overall operational delivery. You will ensure service performance, guarantee strict alignment with our KPIs, manage relationships with key hardware and service suppliers, and continuously drive process improvements as we rapidly scale our production teams.
YOUR FUTURE TEAM
We work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment centered on service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You will directly manage the local Team Leaders and their teams of Datacenter IT Technicians (3 to 4 technicians per cluster). You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Supply, Deployment, Hardware Support, and Product Engineering teams, as well as external partners and suppliers.
Your future management structure: You will report directly to the Datacenter Operations Manager.
Work Location & Environment: Office-based, with regular travel to datacenters across the Paris region, visits to supplier sites, and occasional international travel.
YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
Team Management & Leadership: Directly manage Team Leaders and Datacenter IT Technicians across clusters, providing operational guidance, foster professional growth, and build cohesive, high-performing teams.
Operational Oversight & KPI Tracking: Serve as the ultimate guarantor of field operations and service deliverables—continuously monitoring KPIs, producing activity reports, and implementing corrective/improvement plans.
Scale & Workforce Planning: Drive the rapid expansion and onboarding of the datacenter technical teams to support growing High-Performance Computing demands both in and out of working hours.
Supplier & Vendor Management: Act as the primary operational contact for hardware and service suppliers, holding vendors accountable to strict SLAs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply, Deploy, Hardware Support, and Product Engineering teams to align DC operations with broader company production goals.
Tooling & Administration: Manage ticketing, asset workflows, and operational tracking using Jira, Jira Service Management, Odoo, and Google Sheets.
ABOUT YOU
HARD SKILLS:
Experience: Strong experience in a similar datacenter management or IT operations leadership role.
Operational Leadership: Proven track record in managing team leads/supervisors, driving field operations, and overseeing SLA/KPI compliance in high-security datacenter environments.
Vendor Management: Solid background in supervising third-party service providers, contractors, and hardware suppliers.
Tools & OS: Proficient in Jira, Jira Service Management, Odoo, and Google Sheets.
SOFT SKILLS:
