The Portfolio Chief Technology Officer role at Carlyle Group is a unique opportunity for a seasoned technology executive. You will work across a portfolio of mid-market B2B tech companies, helping them enhance their technology strategies and drive value creation. This role is not limited to one company; instead, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, influencing multiple organizations simultaneously.
What You’ll Do
- Drive technology value creation across multiple portfolio companies.
- Support technical diligence on new investments.
- Build and manage a network of trusted tech partners.
- Coach and mentor CTOs and engineering leaders.
- Establish best practices and share knowledge across the portfolio.
- Prepare technology assets for exit strategies.
What You Need
- 15+ years in senior tech leadership roles, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Experience in private equity or portfolio management is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of modern SaaS architecture and cloud technologies.
- Ability to work across multiple companies and cultures.
- Investor mindset with a focus on translating tech into business value.
- Strong network and relationship-building skills.
