We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, Excel VBA, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support strategic planning, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
The consultant will work with business and technical stakeholders to develop meaningful reports, dashboards, analytical solutions, and insights that help drive organizational growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Design effective data models and optimise Power BI reports for performance.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Support strategic planning, business process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities within business data.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based analytical solutions using VBA programming.
- Automate repetitive reporting and data-processing activities using Excel VBA.
- Work with large datasets and ensure appropriate data quality and validation.
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot data and reporting issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes.
Mandatory Skills
- 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence / Data Analysis.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
- Power BI Reports & Dashboards
- Power Query
- DAX
- Report Performance Optimisation
- Data Source Integration
- Strong SQL knowledge with experience writing complex queries.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with Excel VBA programming and automation.
- Good understanding of business operations and data-driven decision-making.
