A MAJOR INDUSTRIAL PROJECT AT THE HEART OF A FAST-GROWING GROUP

GLORIA MARIS GROUP: AQUACULTURE EXCELLENCE SERVING A FUTURE-PROOF INDUSTRY

Founded in Corsica nearly 40 years ago, GLORIA MARIS GROUP is one of Europe’s leading premium marine aquaculture companies. With nearly 200 employees, the Group controls the entire value chain, from genetic selection and fry production through to the farming and marketing of exceptional fish: sea bream, sea bass, meagre and more.

Recognized for its expertise, innovation and the excellence of its products, notably organic and Label Rouge, the Group continues to grow in France and internationally.

Gloria Maris Group is now entering a new stage of its industrial development with a strong ambition: to modernize its production facilities and double the capacity of its Gravelines site, in order to support its growth and strengthen its long-term competitiveness.

YOUR MISSION: LEAD, TRANSFORM AND SCALE UP

Reporting to the Group’s General Management and sitting on the Executive Committee, you will take charge of two marine hatchery sites representing nearly 50 employees.

As a true Business Unit Director, you will drive the overall performance of this strategic activity: financial results, operational excellence, team management and business development.

A particularly stimulating aspect of the role: you will be responsible, end to end, for a major investment, modernization and extension program worth several million euros, with the goal of doubling the production capacity of the Gravelines site.

From defining requirements to commissioning the facilities, you will lead the whole project: design, technical and industrial choices, budgets, scheduling, coordination of stakeholders and ramp-up of the production facility.

You will thus combine operational responsibility, financial management, people management and leadership of an industrial project that is pivotal to the Group’s future.

You will also contribute to the development strategy of the hatchery sector, notably by seeking out and negotiating strategic partnerships internationally.

An opportunity to take the helm of a strategic business and leave a lasting mark by leading its industrial transformation.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the performance of the two sites

  • Define and roll out the operational strategy in line with the Group’s ambitions.
  • Take responsibility for the income statement (P&L), budgets, margins and performance indicators.
  • Optimize the organization, resources and costs, and develop synergies between the sites.
  • Ensure operational reliability and embed performance in a continuous improvement approach.

Lead the investment and industrial transformation program

  • Manage the Gravelines modernization and extension program end to end.
  • Structure projects, define technical and industrial solutions and make economic trade-offs.
  • Manage multi-million-euro investments, from design to commissioning.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners, ensuring control of costs, deadlines, quality and risks.
  • Successfully double production capacity and prepare the ramp-up of the facilities.

Manage and unite nearly 50 employees

  • Mobilize teams around ambitious, shared goals.
  • Develop skills, accountability and a culture of performance.
  • Support organizational changes and rally employees around the transformation project.

Contribute to the Group’s strategy and development

  • Actively participate in Executive Committee decisions.
  • Identify new growth levers and develop strategic partnerships, notably internationally.
  • Contribute to the development of the hatchery sector and to synergies with the Group’s other activities.
