We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a squad of software engineers as their technical leader and coach-eyes-on (not hands-on)-and to be accountable for team outcomes: predictable delivery, high quality, and healthy team dynamics. You’ll partner tightly with a Product Manager and a Designer to translate strategy into a paced, realistic roadmap; make trade-offs explicit (quality vs speed, scope vs timeline); and ensure transparent, timely communication up and down the organization. "Eyes-on" means you read code, challenge design/architecture, and uphold standards (testing/TDD, CI/CD, observability, clean releases) without being the primary coder; your impact is measured through the squad’s results, not your personal code output.

You will set clear expectations, run effective 1:1s, give actionable feedback, and recruit, onboard, develop, and retain talent-fostering mentoring from seniors to juniors and raising the hiring bar. You’ll maintain strong operational rigor (risk management, incident response/post-mortems, KPIs/monitoring), handle internal support tickets with timely follow-up, and drive pragmatic adoption of AI and developer-productivity tools where they create measurable value. At the engineering level, you’ll collaborate with EMs/Staff/Tech Leads and the VP Engineering to co-design scalable processes (quality gates, RCA discipline, calibration/scorecards) and lead cross-team improvements that elevate execution, reliability, and developer experience.

  • Lead a squad; own delivery, quality, team health.

  • Partner with PM/Designer on roadmap, scope, day-to-day execution.

  • Keep eyes-on technical decisions, architecture, and code quality (reviews/check-ins).

  • Meet velocity/quality targets; document decisions; remove blockers.

  • Champion testing/TDD, CI/CD, observability, clean releases; track KPIs.

  • Handle internal support requests with timely follow-up.

  • Recruit, onboard, develop, retain; run effective 1:1s and feedback; foster mentoring.

  • Drive AI/dev-productivity tooling where it adds value.

  • Align with EMs/Staff/Tech Leads; co-design scalable processes with VP Eng; lead cross-functional improvements.

  • Up to 75% reimbursement of your Navigo pass

  • Meal vouchers

  • Alan health insurance

  • Hybrid work environment

  • Regular social events

  • 4-day work week after the first few months

  • 25 days of paid leave

7-12 years total, incl. 2-5 years managing software engineers (people + delivery) in product contexts. Strong technical credibility (reads code, challenges design/architecture) without being the main coder. Proven delivery leadership with Product/Design; risk/incident management; crisp stakeholder comms. Engineering excellence: testing/TDD, CI/CD, observability, disciplined releases. Coaching mindset: expectations, 1:1s, feedback, performance management, growth. Pragmatic with AI/dev-productivity tools and impact measurement. Clear communicator; cross-functional collaborator; French and English comfortable.
