About the Company
Cephalgo is a Strasbourg-based technology company founded in 2020, focused on developing AI solutions that ensure safety, compliance, and trust in human-AI interactions. Originally rooted in healthcare innovation, Cephalgo's platform helps organizations securely analyze and monitor voice and emotion data while meeting privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
Backed by over €3 million in funding, Cephalgo combines deep expertise in voice AI, data protection, and compliance frameworks to help enterprises build and deploy responsible AI systems. The company collaborates with leading European partners in AI ethics, healthcare, and regulatory technology.
About the Role
We are building next-generation voice biomarkers to support early detection and monitoring in neuropsyatry and cognitive health. To achieve this, we need high-quality, ethically collected voice datasets through strong clinical and academic partnerships.
You will play a foundational role in making this happen.
This is not a commercial sales role. You will not be selling products. Instead, you will identify, structure, and execute funded research collaborations and clinical partnerships that enable real-world data collection and translational research.
If you enjoy building collaborations from the ground up, working across clinical environments, and translating scientific requirements into operational execution, this role offers real ownership and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Sourcing & Deal Execution
Identify and engage potential partners: memory clinics, psychiatric research groups, academic labs, CROs, decentralized trial vendors, registries/cohorts.
Qualify feasibility: patient access, recruitment speed, languages, site burden, IRB/ethics pathway, data export constraints.
Coordinate NDAs, feasibility questionnaires, budgets, timelines, and contracting steps through signature.
Study & Data Collection Operations
Translate scientific requirements into a site-friendly operational plan (tasks, duration, devices, environment).
Organize remote or in-clinic voice collection (one-clip or short battery), including training materials and site workflows.
Coordinate ethics/IRB submissions where needed (or separate ancillary substudy path), including informed consent language and privacy requirements.
Oversee vendor performance (data collection agencies, CROs, transcription/QC vendors), manage timelines, and track deliverables.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Ensure GDPR/HIPAA-aligned processes, DPAs, data minimization, and participant withdrawal workflow.
Maintain audit-ready documentation: protocol versions, approvals, consent, data dictionary, QC reports, and transfer/assignment rights where applicable.
Implement basic data QC acceptance criteria and re-record procedures.
Project Management
Own the project plan, milestones, RAID log, and weekly reporting.
Coordinate internally with ML/engineering on capture tools, QC automation, and data ingestion.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 5+ years in clinical research operations (CRO, sponsor, academic trials unit, or digital health).
- Proven experience setting up multi-site collaborations: feasibility, budgets, contracting, start-up.
- Familiarity with ethics/IRB workflows and informed consent in at least one region (EU/UK strongly preferred; US a plus).
- Comfort working with sensitive data (GDPR) and producing strong documentation.
Strong Advantages
- Neuroscience / psychiatry trial experience (MCI/AD, PD/DLB, schizophrenia, etc.).
- Experience with decentralized trials / eConsent / remote assessment workflows.
- Experience running minimal-risk observational studies and/or ancillary substudies.
- Vendor management for data collection/annotation/transcription.
- Ability to work across languages/countries and navigate hospital procurement.
Working Style
- Extremely execution-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to move fast with minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management (PIs, coordinators, legal/procurement).
- Clear written communication and structured documentation.
Key outcomes (first 8 weeks)
- Build and manage a pipeline of memory clinics, academic groups, CROs, and trial sites globally.
- Convert targets into LOIs / collaboration agreements / DPAs and initiate data collection.
- Deliver a “partner-ready” package: protocol, consent templates, data protection pack, operational SOPs, and QC workflow.
- Launch at least 1–2 active collection partners and first dataset deliveries.
