Instrument Licensing Solutions and Patient & Site Strategy helps organizations understand how patients feel and function in clinical research and routine care. The team develops and manages the instruments used to capture patient experience, oversees permissions and licensing, and guides the evolution and integration of patient- and site-facing technologies with electronic health records.

Patient Science, Instrument Development and Thought Leadership

Patient Science, Instrument R&D and Thought Leadership develops new clinical outcome assessment instruments and expands or enhances existing instruments, with emphasis on priority therapeutic areas and market gaps. Drawing on deep expertise in instrument development, scientific consulting, and delivery, the team supports client engagements in collaboration with Patient and Clinical Technology (PACT), IQVIA Laboratories, digital-measure scientists, imaging-measurement scientists, COA managers and therapeutic-area centers of excellence. The team also advances thought leadership through white papers, peer-reviewed publications, books, posters, and podium presentations, working closely with clients, regulators, patient advocacy organizations, industry experts, and other stakeholders.

Position

Composite and companion measures represent an important advance in measuring what matters to patients. By integrating multiple sources of evidence, they help move health care and clinical research beyond measures of service utilization toward a more complete understanding of meaningful outcomes.

This role leads the strategic, scientific, and regulatory development of laboratory- and genomic-enabled composite and companion measures in partnership with IQVIA Labs and external partners. These solutions are designed for use by biopharmaceutical and medical-device organizations in clinical trials and real-world studies, as well as by health care professionals in routine clinical practice.

The Senior Director ensures that the patient perspective is rigorously measured and incorporated into drug-development strategy, laboratory and genomic research, clinical outcome assessment endpoint strategy, regulatory submissions, and commercialization through the application of behavioral and measurement science.

Role Overview

The Senior Director Composite Measures Science & Integration leads the design, development, validation, and implementation of scientifically rigorous composite and companion measurement solutions in partnership with IQVIA Labs and external partners. The role supports corporate strategy, client requirements, global clinical trials, real-world research, and patient-facing care by integrating clinical outcome assessments, digital measures, laboratory and genomic data, and emerging technologies into meaningful endpoints and scalable service offerings aligned with market needs and the IQVIA solutions portfolio.
