The company
A Paris-based B2B SaaS startup, less than a year old, that helps large shippers cut both their freight costs and their CO₂ emissions. It was founded by five partners: tech entrepreneurs and experts who have advised the transport departments of large corporations for more than twenty years. Two CAC 40 groups are already customers, the seed round is closed, and the tech team is deliberately small and very senior.
The role
You’ll build features end to end, from API endpoint to user interface. The platform is a single Bun process serving a Hono REST API and a React 19 frontend. You’ll work with a product lead who is a freight domain expert, and ship to production in small, frequent iterations.
What you’ll build
- API endpoints with Hono, Zod validation and JWT-secured middleware.
- Optimized, parameterized raw SQL queries on PostgreSQL, with no ORM.
- Interactive dashboards and data tables with React 19, TanStack Query, TanStack Table and Recharts.
- Geospatial features with Leaflet.
- AI features (document parsing, chatbot) on Google Vertex AI.
- Tests (Bun test runner, Testing Library, Playwright) and data model evolution.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
- Strong TypeScript, in strict mode.
- Solid experience with modern React (hooks, context, concurrent features) and React Query or similar.
- Comfort with raw SQL on PostgreSQL: joins, window functions, CTEs, indexing strategies.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, and with Tailwind CSS.
- Maintainable code, tested pragmatically, built with performance and security in mind.
- Curiosity about your users' business, and the habit of shipping all the way to production.
Nice-to-haves
- Bun, Deno or Node.js in TypeScript; Hono, Express or Fastify.
- DuckDB, OLAP databases or analytical query patterns.
- LLM integrations.
- Logistics, supply chain or freight transport experience.
- French.

Compensation and conditions
- €65,000 to €80,000 gross annual base salary, plus BSPCE (French employee stock options).
- Permanent contract (CDI); freelance also possible.
- Remote from anywhere in France; Paris-based candidates welcome.
