Pana Community Hospital is seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Access Specialist. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service in a friendly, professional healthcare environment. Salary Range: $16.74-$20.09 (based on experience).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with kindness and professionalism.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect payments.
• Answer and triage incoming calls.
• Submit required insurance documentation.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Support coworkers and contribute as a positive team player.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Strong computer and multitasking skills, including navigation multiple computer applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, family members, physicians, and team members.
• Friendly, compassionate, and committed to outstanding customer service.
• Experience with office equipment such as calculators, computer monitors/printers, fax machines, and copiers preferred.
