Strategy Lead
You’ve built experience, now use it where bold ideas meet real impact. At Opella, we’re challenging how self‑care works for millions of people and need leaders and experts ready to shape what’s next. As a Strategy Lead, you’ll bring your skill, your curiosity and your drive to make health simpler, smarter and more human.
About the job
Opella successfully separated from Sanofi in April 2025 and started their journey as a privately held company by CD&R, Sanofi and BPI. We have designed our 5‑years strategy with the ambition to deliver above market growth in line with our mission & vision. We are now focused on executing our strategic priorities and delivering business results. The Global Corporate Strategy Team is at the centre of the definition of the strategy, is the decision maker on which Big Bets to focus on – and it is instrumental in executing strategic projects that represent the core our growth and are either on multiple countries and/or functions. The results are measured by tangible business outcomes, not by process management. The team is based at our Head Quarter Office in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Paris, France) together with local presence in selected key strategic countries.
The role
The role is a senior position in the organisation, reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, Business Development and Alliance Management. It plays a pivotal role in driving the Opella strategic direction by working both on the overall Global Strategy together with the CEO & Executive Committee as well as on the execution of Strategic Projects together with Region Presidents. It will be responsible for spearheading ad‑hoc strategic initiatives, identifying growth opportunities that will strengthen our market position and drive sustainable success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory and is highly visible across the full company. Lead initiatives that advance our brands and strengthen our reputation worldwide. Mentor and uplift emerging talent while pushing your own growth and influence. Put purpose into practice — embedding sustainability, access and social impact into every decision. Model the challenger mindset: question complexity, act with integrity and make things radically simple. Help shape a culture that’s ambitious, collaborative and serious about recognition and belonging.
Main Responsibilities
- Opella Global Strategy. Develop our long‑term strategy in terms of “Ambition”, “Where to Play” and “How to Win”. Drive innovative thinking in the company and provide guidance on how our Countries and our Brands create and deliver their growth plans. Work in close collaboration with Finance, Growth Hub, Science, Manufacturing & Supply, etc.
- Strategic Projects. Execute key strategic initiatives – for example a Country Strategy, a Category & Brands strategy, a new Growth Lever, etc. Work in close collaboration with Region Presidents and Brands General Managers.
- Whitespaces. Identify Opella growth opportunities beyond the core organic growth, choose the most attractive consumer demand spaces, make trade‑offs, deliver business cases and implementation plans ready to execute, bring strategic view on potential M&A deals.
Across all responsibilities, the role is expected to bring drive and new perspectives, deliver innovative thinking, lead decision making grounded in facts and allow initiatives to happen with speed & accountability. A pragmatic hands‑on attitude is mandatory, with passion for getting things done and achieving business outcomes, not only coordinating.
