About this role

Set the cryptographic direction of the company. You study schemes and attacks, decide what QuantumLock should adopt and when, and turn that judgement into designs that engineers can build and customers can check.

Focus Areas

• Security analysis of lattice-based and hash-based schemes
• Parameter choices and migration paths
• Evidence and provenance protocols
• Standards work and regulatory guidance

Responsibilities

• Assess new schemes, attacks and standards and say what they change for our products
• Write the threat models behind QuantumLock designs
• Review designs and implementations with the engineering team
• Publish where it is possible, and protect what must stay a trade secret

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent research record in cryptography
• Depth in post-quantum schemes and their security assumptions
• Ability to explain a security argument to engineers and to customers

Nice to Have

• Publications at cryptography venues
• Experience with standardisation bodies
• Knowledge of ANSSI, BSI or NIST migration guidance
