About the Role:

NTT DATA is looking for a motivated Legal Counsel to support its activities across Benelux and France. You will provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal support on a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts, IT and technology agreements, procurement, corporate governance, compliance, data protection, intellectual property and litigation support.

You will work closely with business teams, Procurement, Finance and other Legal colleagues across the IBIOL region, supporting contract negotiations, advising on legal and regulatory risks, and helping the business identify practical solutions. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and ways of working across the region.

The ideal candidate has approximately 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, and an interest in technology and digital services. You are pragmatic, proactive and commercially minded, with strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in an international and fast-paced environment. The candidate must be fluent in French and English. Dutch and/or Spanish is a plus.

Your role:

• Commercial & IT contracting: reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including IT and technology services agreements, consultancy agreements, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, subcontracting agreements and other customer and supplier contracts.
• Public and private tenders: providing legal support in connection with RFPs and other procurement processes, including reviewing contractual documentation, identifying key legal risks and supporting the business during negotiations.
• Corporate: supporting general corporate housekeeping and governance matters for our entities and branches in the region, including corporate documentation, powers of attorney, signatory matters and other day-to-day corporate legal questions.
• Litigation & claims: assisting with the management and follow-up of ongoing or potential disputes, including coordination with external counsel where necessary.
• Compliance & risk: supporting the various compliance processes and reporting requirements applicable to the region, including matters such as Gifts & Hospitality, conflicts of interest, litigation reporting and other Ethics & Compliance requirements.
• General legal support: assisting the business with the various day-to-day legal questions and documentation that arise in an international IT and consulting environment.

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Law from a recognised university; qualification to practise law in Belgium or France.
• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally gained in an international law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both.
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Good understanding of procurement, commercial law, contract law and technology-related legal matters.
• Ability to identify and assess legal and contractual risks and translate them into clear, pragmatic and business-oriented advice.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business, procurement, finance and other internal functions.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in an international and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken.
