Position Summary
Sonepar is transforming its global application landscape to build a simpler, more scalable and more connected digital ecosystem.
We are looking for an Enterprise Architect – Applications who can combine strategic vision, deep application architecture expertise and pragmatic execution to help shape the future of our enterprise platforms.
This is not an architecture role focused on theory alone. It is an opportunity to influence real transformation decisions, simplify a complex global landscape and ensure that strategic technology investments deliver lasting business value.
As our Enterprise Architect – Applications, you will define the target application architecture and guide its implementation across ERP, commerce, supply chain, data, integration, digital workplace and AI-enabled capabilities.
Working closely with business leaders, regional IT organizations, Product and Engineering teams, and strategic technology partners, you will ensure that our enterprise applications are scalable, integrated, secure and aligned with Sonepar’s long-term strategy. Your mission will be to reduce complexity, strengthen architectural consistency and enable Sonepar’s global transformation through a modern, sustainable and business-driven application landscape
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the enterprise application landscape
- Define and maintain Sonepar’s target enterprise application architecture.
- Establish clear architecture principles, standards, reference models and technology roadmaps.
- Drive the modernization, simplification and rationalization of the global application portfolio.
- Ensure alignment across ERP, PIM, OMS, CPQ, WMS, TMS, CRM, Pricing, eCommerce, Digital Workplace, AI and other enterprise platforms.
- Reduce duplication, technical debt and unnecessary complexity across the organization.
- Define integration and interoperability principles in close collaboration with Integration and Data Architecture teams.
- Enable strategic transformation
- Provide architectural leadership for major business transformation programs and strategic initiatives.
- Translate complex business needs into scalable, sustainable and future-ready enterprise solutions.
- Assess new technologies and solutions through RFPs, vendor evaluations and technology-selection processes.
- Ensure that new solutions fit within Sonepar’s target architecture and operating model.
- Support application harmonization and M&A integration activities when required.
- Establish and operate effective architecture governance across global and regional initiatives.
- Review solution architectures and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Promote consistency, standardization and reuse across countries, platforms and business functions.
- Ensure that architecture decisions address security, compliance, data governance and operational requirements.
- Define and monitor architecture KPIs and technical health indicators.
- Influence and connect the organization
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and IT leaders across countries and functions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security and Data teams.
- Influence senior stakeholders and provide trusted guidance on strategic technology decisions.
