Main responsibilities :

  • Being responsible for sales management and sales development, for BtoB pharmaceutical ingredients from vegetable source, on Continental Western Europe. Target are drugs manufacturers
  • Manage sales with existing customers : negotiation of price/quantities, execution of contracts, customer visits
  • Meet the target in term of sales to achieve annual budget
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to establish the level of margin required to determine the selling price
  • Carry out regularly, taking into account the fluctuation of the price of raw materials, a review of the selling prices on the contracts under negotiation
  • Constantly ensure customer satisfaction, in particular when complaints are made, for which it is necessary to ensure that a justified response is systematically provided;
  • Coordinate with Customer Service colleagues who process the orders on a day to day basis (from order reception until delivery and full payment)
  • Develop business with existing customers : work on projects to expand sales with new products/additional quantities
  • Develop business with new customers: identify sales targets in pharmaceutical markets, create business opportunities with new targets until sales conclusion
  • Meet the target in term of business projects to achieve the long term business plan
  • Visit potential customers and take part of professional fairs
  • Act as a project manager from lead inquiry until first sale
  • Develop a relationship of trust and quality with all the colleagues allowing decision-making, in particular with the R&D/regulatory, supply chain, quality teams and the other International Sales Managers
  • Frequent visit to sales office close to Paris and production plant in Arras (62)
  • Respect the corporate and local procedures in place

The ideal profile is:

  • Master of Science Degree (Life Science, Chemistry, Agriculture…), with ideally a master's degree in business/sales/marketing
  • Experience minimum 5 years in sales of pharmaceutical ingredients, on export markets in Europe
  • Solid technical knowledge to communicate easily with stakeholders (R&D/quality/regulatory colleagues and existing/new customers)
  • Ideally French speaking, excellent English level for business purposes is required
