About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst – Procure-to-Pay to help drive the transformation, standardization and continuous improvement of our end-to-end P2P processes and supporting systems.

Your Mission

As part of the Finance Technology team, you will act as a business partner to Procurement, Finance and Business stakeholders, with the ability to understand the underlying business objective, challenge existing ways of working, identify opportunities for simplification and automation, and translate business needs into efficient, scalable processes and system solutions.

Your role covers the end-to-end P2P landscape, from sourcing and contract lifecycle management through purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier invoicing, expense management, approvals, accruals and payment readiness, across applications including Workday Financials, Workday Procurement, Concur and CLM.

You will work at the intersection of Business, Finance and IS, ensuring that technology enables the right business processes rather than simply reproducing existing ways of working.

We are not looking for a purely technical application specialist. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Procure-to-Pay, Procurement and Finance transformation, ERP or business applications, combined with the ability to understand and navigate a complex multi-system environment. Knowledge of Workday Procurement, Concur or CLM is a strong advantage, but a strong P2P / Finance Systems profile with experience on other ERP or enterprise platforms will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Business Partner for Procure-to-Pay
    • Develop a strong understanding of the company's business model, Procurement and Finance processes and end-to-end P2P operating model.
    • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Legal and Business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges and pain points.
    • Challenge existing processes, requirements and assumptions, rather than simply translating them into system specifications.
    • Ask the right questions to distinguish between a genuine business need, an existing practice and a historical system limitation.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate and improve processes across purchasing, supplier invoice management, expenses and contract lifecycle management.
    • Recommend pragmatic solutions that balance business value, user experience, scalability, compliance and technical constraints.
    • Help stakeholders move from a “what we do today” mindset to a “what should the target process be?”
  • Own P2P Process Analysis & Design
    • Map and document current-state and target-state P2P processes.
    • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, manual activities, controls and risks.
    • Define clear process ownership, responsibilities and hand-offs between Procurement, Finance, Legal, Business teams and IS.
    • Design target processes in collaboration with Procurement, Finance and Business stakeholders.
    • Ensure consistency and appropriate standardization across countries, entities and business units.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process simplification across requisitioning, approvals, receiving, invoicing, expenses and contract management.
    • Contribute to the evolution of the Finance Technology operating model and P2P roadmap.
  • Translate Business Needs into Effective Solutions
    • Lead functional analysis from business problem to solution.
    • Gather business needs, but challenge and refine them before translating them into requirements.
    • Define business rules, functional requirements, data requirements, approval rules, controls and acceptance criteria.
    • Assess alternative solutions and make recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Work closely with IS architects, application owners and integration teams to validate solution feasibility.
    • Ensure that proposed solutions address the end-to-end business process, rather than optimizing a single application in isolation.
    • Assess upstream and downstream impacts before changes are implemented, including procurement operations, accounting, supplier management, compliance and reporting.
  • Own the End-to-End P2P Systems Perspective
    • The role will cover the interaction between the key applications supporting P2P, including:

CLM → Workday Procurement → Concur → Workday Financials

    • The candidate will:
      • Understand how business processes and data flow across the application landscape.
      • Identify dependencies and impacts between applications.
      • Define functional requirements for system changes and integrations.
