We are looking for a Senior Battery EIS Test Engineer to contribute to the laboratory validation, automated characterization, and algorithmic modeling of next-generation Battery Management Systems (BMS).

The project focuses on end-to-end testing and qualification of advanced battery diagnostics for high-voltage cells, modules, and packs.

In this role, you will design and develop automated EIS test benches, validate DC/DC-based current excitation circuits, and evaluate state-estimation algorithms (SoH, SoC, SoT, and anomaly detection) to support reliable industrial deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test benches for EIS-based characterization of battery cells and high-voltage modules;
  • Validate EIS-enabled BMS chipsets and power electronics hardware under laboratory and operating conditions;
  • Set up, execute, and analyze DC/DC converter-based current excitation systems for embedded impedance measurements (µV / µΩ level) ;
  • Develop, calibrate, and validate state-estimation algorithms (SoH, SoC, SoP, internal temperature/SoT, anomaly detection) using Equivalent Circuit Models (ECM) and empirical datasets;
  • Implement signal processing pipelines (DFT/FFT, multi-node synchronization, noise filtering) for frequency-domain impedance extraction;
  • Author comprehensive test plans, qualification reports, and technical documentation for customer demonstrations and industrialization milestones.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in battery test engineering, BMS validation, or high-precision electronic instrumentation;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, or a related discipline;
  • Proven proficiency in Python and MATLAB/Octave for test automation, instrument control, and data analysis; familiarity with C/C++ in embedded contexts;
  • Direct working knowledge of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and battery equivalent circuit modeling (ECM);
  • Practical experience testing high-voltage Li-ion battery modules/packs and power electronics (DC/DC converters);
  • Strong background in digital signal processing (DSP, Fourier analysis, system identification) and analog/mixed-signal hardware debugging;
  • Professional working proficiency in English, with demonstrated ability to deliver clear technical reports independently.

What We Offer

  • Opportunities to grow through involvement in complex international projects;
  • A collaborative environment with knowledge-sharing initiatives and technical communities;
  • Flexible working arrangements, aligned with project requirements and client environments;
  • Access to technical training programs and professional development resources.
