Senior Engineer – Land Engineering

Based in France, the Senior Engineer will support the Land Engineering team within Power Transmission, focusing on complex cable installation projects worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Managing technical scope and engineering deliverables related to land installation activities across complex EPCI projects
  • Developing engineering solutions, technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, industry regulations, and project specifications
  • Coordinating project execution activities, including planning, procurement support, subcontractor follow‑up, logistics coordination, and documentation control
  • Supporting resource planning, travel planning, and site execution activities for installation teams and project personnel
  • Managing technical interfaces across internal engineering teams, subcontractors, project stakeholders, and operational teams throughout project execution
  • Supporting budget follow‑up, cost control activities, variation order identification, procurement evaluations, and financial reporting within project execution
  • Ensuring safe execution of work activities by promoting strong HSE standards, participating in site safety meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and compliance monitoring
  • Supporting tender activities by providing technical expertise, reviewing project assumptions, and contributing lessons learned for future project improvements
  • Driving continuous improvement by contributing to process development, knowledge sharing, training activities, and technical development within the department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education
  • Typically 5–10 years of relevant engineering or project execution experience, ideally within infrastructure, energy, installation, or industrial projects
  • Strong technical understanding within engineering disciplines and project execution environments
  • Experience managing technical documentation, project planning, subcontractor coordination, procurement, logistics, or field execution activities
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in fast‑paced project environments
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to identify alternative technical solutions when needed
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across international project teams
  • Fluent in French and English, written and verbal
