Job Description

Regional Market Intelligence

• Collect, maintain, and analyze country and regional energy market data across core and priority growth markets.
• Monitor market dynamics, demand drivers, generation trends, infrastructure needs, and investment activity.
• Support the development and maintenance of country prioritization frameworks, market attractiveness assessments, and regional opportunity views.

Policy, Regulatory, and Competitive Insights

• Analyze regional market structures, policy developments, regulatory trends, and country-specific energy transition drivers.
• Monitor competitive dynamics, market requirements, and risks that may affect GE Vernova’s growth and competitiveness.
• Identify emerging opportunities and challenges across priority regions and translate findings into concise business recommendations.

Forecasting and Strategic Planning Support

• Maintain market assumptions and input data supporting regional and country-level forecasts.
• Support the forecasting team in calibrating and validating regional and country outlooks.
• Develop quarterly regional market updates and executive-ready insights for senior leadership discussions.

Stakeholder Engagement and Market Visibility

• Apply AI-enabled research and analytics tools to improve data collection, market monitoring, and insight generation.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional teams, country councils, strategy partners, commercial teams, and business stakeholders.
• Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations that support enterprise decision-making and long-term strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, energy systems, engineering, business, data analytics, finance, or a related field, from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in energy markets, power markets, market analysis, energy policy, strategy, forecasting, or a related analytical discipline.
• Strong understanding of energy and power market fundamentals, market structures, policy drivers, and regional market dynamics.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including experience working with large datasets, market research sources, and complex business information.
• Ability to translate complex market information into clear, actionable business insights for executive and cross-functional audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations in concise, easy-to-understand terms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Expected travel is approximately 15–20% on average.

Desired Characteristics

• Natural curiosity about global energy markets, emerging technologies, and the energy transition.
• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, market intelligence, power market analysis, or forecasting roles.
• Demonstrated experience with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, or related energy analytics tools.
• Experience using Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis and visualization.
• Track record of learning and applying AI-powered tools to accelerate research, analysis, and insight generation.
• Advanced degree, including MBA, master’s degree, or PhD, in a relevant field.
• Executive presence with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and align teams around a common view of market opportunities and risks.
