Aventa is looking for an experienced Subsea Analysis Engineer to support marine and subsea installation activities within offshore O&G projects.

Role & Responsibilities

The candidate will work closely with the Installation Engineering team to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables and support offshore operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the installation team to ensure alignment of technical analyses with project objectives
  • Preparing, reviewing, and delivering installation analyses, reports, and documentation in compliance with industry standards and HSE requirements
  • Verifying tools and equipment compliance with technical specifications in close cooperation with installation engineers
  • Reviewing installation procedures to ensure alignment with analyses and offshore installation methods
  • Participating in risk assessments and preparation of Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
  • Supporting resource planning (personnel, equipment, and vessels) during mobilization and operational phases
  • Assisting in the development of pre-installation test plans and, if required, attending testing activities
  • Providing technical support during offshore operations
  • Contributing to operational reports and post-campaign Lessons Learned
  • Monitoring weekly and monthly installation engineering progress (hours, deliverables, procurement status, etc.)
  • Preparing progress reports and participating in client follow-up meetings

Profile & Requirements

  • Strong adaptability to new professional environments; able to integrate into a marine engineering project team while remaining autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Proven experience in drafting and reviewing marine & subsea installation analyses (SURF: cables, flexible pipes, umbilicals) on O&G projects
  • Experience developing analyses for dynamic umbilical riser installation and transfer (FPSO) is a plus
  • Previous participation in O&G projects in Brazil or other offshore regions is a plus
  • Ability to interface with installation engineers and review installation procedures
  • Offshore experience on construction and marine installation vessels, including mobilization and demobilization
  • Master’s degree (minimum Bac+5) in Marine Engineering, Maritime Engineering, or Offshore Engineering
  • Excellent command of Orcaflex and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus
