You will join his team dedicated to operational intelligence, which works across the entire software and complex systems development cycle for the aerospace, air traffic control, defense, and meteorology sectors.

The position

Join a team that contributes to the development ofground systems for Earth observation satellites, at the heart of civilian and defense space programs.

On behalf of major players in the space industry, we design, develop, and maintain software components that are central tosatellite image processing workflows. Our teams are involved in both the development of new features and the in-service maintenance (ISM) of technologically advanced systems.

In this context, we are looking for aTechnical Specialist in image processing with strong expertise inC++ and Python.

In addition to your development work, you’ll serve asa technical point of contact within the team: you’ll contribute to cost estimates and proposed technical solutions, provide your expertise on complex issues, support developers in their work, and help the team develop their skills.

This position is intended for an experienced candidate who wishes to maintain a strong technical focus while developing skills in team leadership and support.

As a technical specialist, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of image-processing software:

• Contribute to the design and evolution of the architecture of the software components in the processing chain
• Design and develop image processing features. Implement, integrate, and optimize algorithms for image processing, correction, filtering, transformation, and analysis inC++ and Python
• Participate in integration, validation, and qualification activities;
• Analyze technical issues and propose robust, high-performance, and maintainable solutions;
• Serveas a technical resourceon topics related to image processing and software development;
• Support team members in resolving technical issues and conduct design and code reviews;
• Contribute to the identification and dissemination of best practices in development;
• Help analyze treatment results and improve algorithms and performance;
• Collaborate with the software, algorithm, validation, and business teams to ensure the consistency of the solutions implemented;
• Help lead the team in technical matters and, depending on your experience and interest, gradually take on management and coordination responsibilities.

Technical Environment

You will work in a rich and demanding technical environment, including, among other things:

• C++ and Pythonfor software and algorithmic development;
• Digital image processingand image data manipulation;
• Algorithms for image processing, analysis, and transformation;
• Scientific computing and performance optimization;
• GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and continuous integration;
• Agile Methodologies.

Profile required

You hold a master’s degreein computer science and havesignificant experience in software development and/or algorithm designfor spatial image processing in an industrial setting using C++ and Python.

You’re comfortable taking a step back from a problem, analyzing various technical options, and seeing a solution through to implementation.

Experience in thespace sector or Earth observationis a significant advantage.
