Financial and Accounting Manager

Manage and analyze day-to-day cash flow
Process bank transfers, cheque deposits, electronic transmission of supplier files, and customer direct debits through banking platforms
Reconcile cash flows in the treasury management software
Monitor loan repayment due dates
Optimize daily cash management and anticipate cash flows
Prepare monthly cash-flow plans and monthly reporting, including cash-flow analysis
Prepare semi-annual monitoring reports on financial income and the cash position
Manage relationships with accounts payable
Prepare, draw down, and monitor grant applications and files
Approve financial agreements and amendments
Monitor outstanding grant receivables and follow up on unpaid grant balances
Update grant receipt forecasts and project schedules
Enter and monitor grants in the operations management software
Record operating grants and post funds received from capital grants
Manage relationships with lending and grant-making institutions
Prepare and monitor loan and guarantee files
Manage loan agreements and update repayment schedules
Prepare loan authorization requests for submission to the Board committee
Manage loan guarantee requests
Update loan and guarantee tracking spreadsheets
Enter and monitor loans in the operations management software
Post received loan funds to the accounting system
Calculate and record the management fee for completed operations
Ensure the financial and accounting closeout of operations
Produce monitoring reports for the Financial and Accounting Department’s dashboards
Contribute to the development and drafting of methods and procedures
Coordinate with internal departments
Monitor developments in funding schemes and mechanisms
Join a six-person team reporting to the Head of Financial Engineering

Requirements

• At least a two-year degree in accounting and finance, and/or 3 to 5 years of comparable experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team-oriented approach
• Knowledge of financial modeling and simulations
• Knowledge of transaction taxation
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills
• Proactive and able to make recommendations
• Ability to facilitate meetings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Discretion and confidentiality are essential
