AI Workforce Transformation & Strategy Lead

We’re partnering with a global technology and energy management organisation seeking a senior leader to drive its HR Workforce Strategy and Transformation agenda in the age of Generative AI and Agentic AI.

This is a strategic, high-impact opportunity to rethink how a global software engineering workforce is structured, skilled and developed as AI fundamentally changes the nature of work.

The focus goes beyond technology adoption. It’s about anticipating workforce evolution, redesigning roles and capabilities, developing future talent strategies and translating AI-driven change into a sustainable organisational transformation.

As AI Workforce Transformation & Strategy Lead, you will shape and drive the workforce agenda for a large, global software product engineering organisation, working at the intersection of HR, technology, business strategy and organisational transformation.

Partnering with senior HR leaders, CTOs, engineering leadership and Finance, you will define how the workforce evolves, what capabilities will be needed, and how the organisation can prepare its people for an AI-enabled future.

What we’re looking for

We’re particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in HR strategy, workforce transformation, strategic workforce planning or organisation design, combined with the ability to lead complex, technology-driven change.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience in workforce strategy, future of work, talent transformation, organisation design or HR transformation.
  • A track record of translating business strategy into workforce scenarios, skills strategies, capability plans and organisational recommendations.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation programmes in large, international organisations.
  • Strong understanding of how emerging technologies and AI can reshape jobs, skills, team structures and operating models.
  • Experience partnering with senior HR stakeholders, executive leadership and business or technology leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to develop workforce insights, build business cases and measure transformation outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills.
  • Experience in software engineering or technology organisations, Generative AI, Agentic AI or digital transformation would be a strong advantage.
