I'm hiring a Senior Design & Development Engineer to join an innovative medical technology company developing next-generation robotic systems for minimally invasive procedures.
This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of the mechanical and electromechanical design of a surgical robotic platform, contributing to both existing technology and next-generation product development.
The Role
- Lead hardware architecture and detailed mechanical design of robotic systems, including actuators, transmissions, sensors and mechanical assemblies.
- Own design changes, engineering documentation, risk assessments and design reviews.
- Develop and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities, including bench and simulated-use testing.
- Maintain Design History Files (DHF), ensuring compliance with design controls and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams to develop, integrate and validate new robotic technologies.
What I'm Looking For
- Strong background in mechanical design and electromechanical product development, ideally within regulated medical devices.
- Advanced 3D CAD experience, mechanical assemblies and GD&T.
- Proven experience with design controls, ISO 14971 risk management, DHF documentation and V&V.
- Ability to independently own complex engineering projects from requirements through design and verification.
- Experience with surgical robotics, active medical devices or catheter-based cardiovascular/neurovascular systems would be highly advantageous.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work on cutting-edge robotic technology designed to advance minimally invasive interventions.
- Take genuine technical ownership of next-generation hardware development.
- Join a multidisciplinary engineering team where your designs directly influence product development and clinical applications.
