Across M&A, Project Finance, Corporate Finance, and Offtake Advisory, we advise on the full spectrum of green infrastructure (incl. renewable power, energy storage, biomethan, bio/e-fuels, EV charging, renewable heat) as well as advising energy & environment private equity transactions.

Since 2013, we have helped the sector’s most ambitious players finance, buy, sell and grow: 300+ transactions, €6bn+ of investment advised across Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.

Our 75+ professionals combine deep sector expertise with an international mindset. We are looking for talented people who thrive on high standards in a friendly and entrepreneurial team.

The opportunity

We are looking for an Analyst and/or an Associate to join the Paris team. The exact position will depend on your experience and background.

You will work closely with a team of around 30 professionals on M&A and Project Finance transactions, supporting clients throughout the different stages of an advisory process, from initial analysis and structuring to execution and closing.

You will work on live transactions from day one, with exposure to senior team members, clients, investors and financing partners. As you grow, you will progressively take greater ownership of your workstreams, transactions and client relationships.

What you will do

  • Financial analysis and modelling: conduct financial analyses, build and develop financial models, analyse business plans, cash flows and project economics, perform valuations and sensitivities.
  • Transaction execution: contribute to the structuring and execution of M&A and Project Finance transactions from the early stages through to closing.
  • Client and investor materials: prepare high-quality presentations, teasers, information memoranda and other transaction materials.
  • Due diligence and process management: coordinate with clients, investors, lenders and external advisors throughout the transaction process.
  • Market and sector analysis: monitor market trends, transactions and regulatory developments across the energy transition and infrastructure sectors.
  • Business development: contribute to pitches, market studies and the identification of new opportunities.
  • Team development: depending on your experience, support and mentor more junior team members and interns.

You will be encouraged to go beyond execution and develop a broader understanding of our clients, markets and sectors.

What you will learn

At Finergreen, we want our Analysts and Associates to become well-rounded advisors. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work across both M&A and Project Finance;
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of technologies, business models and energy and environmental transition topics;
  • Work directly with entrepreneurs, developers, investors, utilities and financial institutions;
  • Develop your financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution skills;
  • Understand the full lifecycle of a transaction, from strategy and structuring to closing;
  • Progressively take ownership of projects and client relationships.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for curious, analytical and proactive professionals who want to build a career in energy transition finance. The ideal candidate has:

  • a Master’s degree or equivalent with a background in finance, business, economics or engineering combined with strong financial knowledge;
  • 1 to 5 years of experience, ideally in infrastructure or energy investment banking, M&A, private equity or transaction advisory;
  • A genuine interest in energy transition and exposure to energy transition and/or renewables transaction in France and/or Europe;
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance and financial modelling;
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills;
  • Ability to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment and take initiatives;
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player;
  • Dynamism and a strong work ethic;
  • Time management, organizational skills and great reliability;
  • Communication skills (both oral and written), fluency in French and English, Spanish is a plus.

Most importantly, we value curiosity, initiative, sound judgement and the willingness to learn.

Why join the Paris team

  • To work on transactions that matter: your work will contribute directly to financing the infrastructure and businesses driving the energy transition.
