To support the successful delivery of a major international project in a challenging environment, we are looking for an experienced
Socio-Economic Manager (M/F).
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the project's socio-economic development strategy, fostering sustainable relationships with local communities and ensuring that social investment initiatives support both community development objectives and project requirements.
This position will be based abroad in a demanding and remote environment, with regular interaction with local communities, project teams and key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Project Director, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the project's socio-economic development strategy.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities and key stakeholders.
- Supporting community development and social investment initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Managing stakeholder engagement activities and promoting positive community relations.
- Monitoring socio-economic programmes and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Managing budgets and resources related to community development initiatives.Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support sustainable project delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable project requirements and commitments related to socio-economic development.
- Providing regular reporting on socio-economic activities, programmes and performance.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen community engagement and long-term project benefits.
- Degree in Social Sciences, Economics or a related field.
Proven experience in social investment, community development or socio-economic programmes. - Good understanding of compliance, benefits management, budgeting and financial principles.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. - Experience working in remote and challenging project environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Hands‑on, solution-oriented and adaptable mindset.
- Client-focused with a proactive approach.
- Fluent English required. French would be an advantage.
