Rotor Analysis Engineer (m/f)

Location: Marignane.

You will join the Analysis team of the Rotors and Suspension Engineering department and integrate the group dedicated to support activities of Rotors and Suspension for the whole Airbus Helicopters fleet. You will work directly on the critical parts of the rotors in a high-tech environment, over the life cycle of the products. This position will allow you to perform technical studies until their completion, including ground test and flight test follow-up when necessary. This position is open only on a local contract and will require a security clearance or be eligible for it by the competent authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

  • To size and substantiate helicopters rotor and suspension parts in static and fatigue thanks to different methodologies (analytical, simulation, FEM, tests) in order to ensure the correct safety margins and service lives of these parts thru different development or in service sustaining phases.
  • To prepare, support and analyze ground and/or flight tests required for the substantiation of the parts and the loads assessment in collaboration with the lab test and flight crew department.
  • To sustain the whole In Service activity of our helicopters by providing the relevant support and analysis for all modification projects requested by our customers, for mechanical parts delivery from production and for incidents that could occurred on helicopters.
  • To prepare detailed data and documents to be provided to the internal/external customers and authorities to guarantee the objectives of safety, performance, manufacturing, structural integrity, maintainability and costs for new development’s and change projects.

Required skills

  • Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience on mechanical part analysis.
  • Finite element modelling skills (hypermesh, samcef…).
  • Team spirit, autonomous, rigorous.
  • Advanced in French and English.
