Summary
The sourcing leader drives supplier strategy and commercial sourcing activities for a defined portfolio within commissioning and construction projects, ensuring an optimal balance of cost, quality, risk, and performance. This leader serves as a subject matter expert in sourcing and commodity management, influencing stakeholders and contributing to the development of functional strategy and policy. --
- Le·la Responsable Sourcing pilote la stratégie fournisseurs et les activités d’achats pour un portefeuille défini au sein des projets de mise en service et de construction. Il·elle veille à garantir un équilibre optimal entre coût, qualité, risque et performance. Ce rôle implique également d’agir en tant qu’expert·e en sourcing et en gestion de commodités, d’influencer les parties prenantes et de contribuer à l’élaboration de la stratégie et des politiques de la fonction achats.

Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Strategy & Management: Define and implement supplier strategy for assigned commodities or services. Manage and optimize supplier panels (selection, rationalization, performance monitoring). Allocate business needs to appropriate suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, risk, and strategic alignment.
- Commercial Negotiation & Contracting: Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms, and conditions. Develop negotiation strategies supported by data analysis and market intelligence. Agree on commercial terms and transmit final agreements/conditions to management and relevant project stakeholders. Manage commercial claims and disputes with suppliers, coordinating with legal/finance as needed.
- Sourcing Operations & Analysis: Support and/or execute purchasing activities as required (RFQs, bids, purchase orders). Perform data analysis (spend, cost, performance) to identify savings, consolidation, and risk‑mitigation opportunities. Provide negotiation and decision support through robust cost, should‑cost, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
- Expertise & Best Practices: Develop and maintain deep expertise in sourcing and commodity management for the assigned category. Serve as a best‑practice and quality resource within the function. Keep abreast of latest functional developments (tools, processes, market trends) and incorporate them into ways of working. Contribute to strategy and policy development for the sourcing/commodity area.
- Leadership & Influence: Act as a resource/mentor for colleagues with less experience in sourcing/commodity management. Communicate complex sourcing strategies, trade‑offs, and recommendations clearly to cross‑functional stakeholders. Lead small to medium projects with moderate risk and resource requirements (e.g., supplier transition, productivity projects, localization). Build consensus across functions on supplier selections, strategies, and commercial decisions.
- Impact & Autonomy: Influence approaches, projects, and programs within the C&C sourcing function or affected business organization. Impact the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the immediate team and related stakeholders. Work within broad guidelines and policies, with moderate autonomy and significant input into priorities. Shape how professional practices and policies are applied in own area.
- Decision‑Making & Problem Solving: Use judgment to solve moderately complex sourcing and commercial problems that impact the function and business. Take new perspectives on existing solutions; propose and implement process or strategy improvements. Use technical and functional expertise plus data analysis to support recommendations and decisions. Leverage multiple internal data sources (e.g., finance, engineering, operations) and limited external sources (e.g., market data, benchmarks) to arrive at decisions.

- Stratégie & Gestion des Fournisseurs: Définir et mettre en œuvre la stratégie fournisseurs pour les commodités ou services assignés. - Opérations de Sourcing & Analyse: Soutenir et/ou exécuter les activités d’achat selon les besoins (RFQ, appels d’offres, commandes). Réaliser des analyses de donnée
