The role is for a full-stack engineer with a few years of shipping real web apps who can own internal tools from idea to production. A strong candidate brings React, TypeScript, Node or Python, PostgreSQL and a solid delivery setup with Docker, CI and tests. They also bring the habit of sitting with colleagues in operations and engineering, learning how the business runs, and turning messy manual steps into clean software.
How it fits the AI era
AI changes the work by speeding up routine coding and making it realistic to automate whole workflows, such as compliance paperwork or status updates, rather than just assisting with them. Engineers here are expected to use coding assistants daily and to build AI-powered tools for colleagues. What stays human is judging what the teams truly need, designing sound data models, and making sure flight scheduling and ground tools are reliable when real aircraft depend on them.
How it builds AI experience
Someone in this role would get hands‑on practice building internal automations and AI tools for a company that flies autonomous airships and processes inspection data. It also helps to try agent‑style tools on real internal problems, such as turning weather, airspace and fleet constraints into a flight plan. A good way to prepare is to build and ship a small internal agent or workflow tool and be ready to explain what worked and what did not.
Worth showing
- React and TypeScript apps shipped
- Node or FastAPI with PostgreSQL
- Automated internal workflow tools
- AI-assisted development in daily work
- Geospatial mapping (MapLibre, PostGIS)
